Based on your weekly research, you are to compile a guidebook for use by an employer considering moving into your respective country.

4. Week Four
• Based on the country you selected, conduct research on employment law, labor and regulatory standards, and employment discrimination for the country you selected.
• Be sure to identify key international standards the countries have agreed to follow regarding basic human rights, harassment, sex trafficking, etc. Information may be found by researching the International Labor Organization, OECD and UN Global Compact requirements.
• For students selecting EU countries, add information on EU directives and regulations, the concepts of Acquired Rights and TUPE.
• This is one of the most complex subject areas and your portfolio assignment should consist of several pages on these topics.
• Minimum wage, overtime, work hours, holidays, maternity leave, leaves of absence content, etc should NOT be included here as we will cover in week seven.

• Based on the country you selected, conduct research international employment options including issues with immigration from other countries, use of local employees, employment contracts, visa, travel and work permits requirements.
• For EU countries, be sure to cover the Schengen Agreement

Week Six
• Based on the country you selected, conduct research on global training issues, leadership styles and approaches.
• Consider how your countries cultural aspects influence training and leadership reflected in week three with Geert Hofstede and the Globe Study. The Geert Hofstede website is very helpful for this analysis.

8. Week Eight
Conduct research on global crisis and risk management for the country you identified in your region. Share your research and findings to this discussion board and focus on the following:
• Required immunizations to enter the country
• Health/ infectious diseases/illness / public health issues/ pandemics
• Emergency evacuation for US Citizens and risk factors due to medical emergencies, political instability, war/rioting, crime, theft, terrorism attacks, etc. Registration with State Dept, Smart Traveler Enrollment Program and local embassy registration, notification and assistance.
• How would you mitigate these concerns advance planning and emergency evacuation, contracts with organizations to provide emergency medical, legal and translation services such as SOS?
• What data privacy issues including what protections and legislation is in place (note changes with EU privacy regulations in May 2018)
