Your review of a bill paper should:
Discuss the major provisions of the bill.
Demonstrate an in-depth understanding of the legislation by explaining the background and all relevant facts.
Discuss any relevant history related to the legislation, pertinent votes, and issues that are stalling the legislation, etc.
Use primary sources for this information.
Identify key supporters and those who do not support the bill. Explain why some of these individuals support the bill and why some do not.
Explore the positions of the key stakeholders in the bill, both pros and cons. Do not make assumptions about potential key stakeholders. Examine this area carefully so you are correctly reflecting the stakeholders positions.
Discuss how the bill would impact a nurse’s ability to provide safe and quality care or to practice to the highest scope of the nursing license.
Explain specific actions that nurses can take to assist with the passage or defeat of the legislation
Use Current APA Style, headings and references as appropriate.

Paper details I. Written Assignment Instructions:
In this final assignment, you will be putting it all together by writing a comprehensive 14 to 15-page paper (with title and reference page) using the topic/problem you have been working on throughout this course. This assignment must follow general writing and APA guidelines. Headings and subheadings are required per APA 6th edition guidelines. The following components must be addressed in this paper:
Title page or page one of the final paper. See the APA manual, p. 23 (section 2.01 last sentence), p. 229 or p. 241 for title page formatting, i.e. title page and its required five elements. See the APA manual for sample on p. 41.
Title of the Paper
See APA Manual, the tile of the paper is the third page of the finished document. As per APA manual, it should be in upper and lower case letters, centered between the left and right margins and it must not appear in bold!
See APA Manual, the introduction does not carry a separate heading labeled “Introduction”. The content begins below the title of the paper. The introduction informs the reader about the topic of interest organized in the paper as follows: problem, framework, purpose, question, and hypothesis. The problem needs to be clear and succinct, incorporating the feedback from the faculty. For this part, copy and paste the revised assignment from DF2.
Note: A student may receive a “0” if the faculty feedback is not clearly incorporated addressing the items below.
The problem statements should open with short but informative topic sentence including the independent and dependent variables. The problem should be written to catch the attention of the reader as follows:
• What is the problem with its six components (identification, background, scope, consequences, knowledge gap, and propose solution) explaining why it is important problem to study?
• State the theoretical/conceptual framework (define it) and its assumptions. What are the implications of the framework to your specific variables-relate the variables to framework?
• Include the purpose statement using active verbs defining quantitative method.
• State the questions and hypotheses under consideration as related to the problem.
• Name the independent variable (IV) and the dependent variable (DV) and population.
• The reader should be introduced to the problem and learn about the topic (discuss both pros and cons).
Review of the Literature- See APA Manual section 1.02.
The literature review is important element of a paper because it provides a link between studies that have been done and the current project. The literature review provides a context and meaning for the project as it reviews identifies, clarifies, refines, and confirms the clinical or operational question and relates the problem to the theoretical or conceptual framework. The literature review demonstrates that the writer has a command of and is knowledgeable about the current literature related to the proposed problem and the theoretical or conceptual basis for the project. Literature from disciplines outside nursing should be cited as well as nursing literature (preferred).
The literature review is presented in synthesized essay form rather than an annotated list. Do not discuss each article separately but synthesize the content and look for common themes. The synthesis flows logically from one idea to other. Articles with similar findings are discussed in the same section or under the same heading. Avoid use of direct quotations, when possible!!! No more than 1 to 2 quotes per page. Do not use block quotes? Emphasize findings; do not dwell on details of individual studies. A general rule of thumb is to rely on primary sources published within the past five years. However, there are some exceptions, (e.g., classic studies or historically significant studies, foundational research, definitions, etc.).
Note: This review of the literature is the essential preparation for your DNP Final Project or Master Thesis project.
The literature review for this assignment should include the following:
• An introductory paragraph with the search criteria. Add an explanation for the older studies
• Include the significance of the problem. Use the assignment from module 1 DF.
• A synthesis of the literature organized under main headings for IV and DV and include findings from previous research describing current knowledge of the problem. A separate heading must be used for the framework content. Gaps in the literature should be identified and stated.
• Use the Synthesis from each DF and organize this part with subheading for each of the 4 items in the synthesis. Variables, Theoretical/Conceptual Framework, research method (design, sample, data collection tool including survey, questionnaire, chart review, interview, focus groups, and more, statistic), results and conclusions.
• The summary paragraph at the end of the literature review section must tie the project variables and justifies the use of the theory for the present project. Explain how the present project is expected to contribute to the body of knowledge on the subject.
• All of the articles from the Matrix must be cited/used in the paper and appear in the reference page.
Method (Is the Evidence Conclusive or Not?)
This part should address the following hypothetical items in DF 3:
• Selected quantitative design
• choice for quantitative study
• Data collection tool (survey, RDIF)
• Levels of measurements (LOM)
Copy and paste the detailed narrative from DF 3 (after integrating faculty feedback) to discuss a hypothetical research. Follow APA standards as the detailed DF 3 is written as a single space paper.
Note: A student may receive a “0” if the faculty feedback is not clearly incorporated
Under this section, describe the need for Institutional Review Board (IRB) proposal. Discuss your plan to obtain permission from author to use survey and from the site/unit director/practice manager to recruit subjects and use premises, and etc.
End this paper with a conclusion. Briefly synthesize the stated problem and literature on the topic. Do not repeat the content but make an argument why more research is needed or why or how a healthcare provider may use the findings from your study to improve clinical practice.
Note: Sample Paper is included with the Module
II. Presentation Instructions:
