Impact of a change in the cash rate on the bond marke

The following addresses the impact of a change in the cash rate (the interest 
rate in the overnight cash market (OCM)) on the one year bond market. 
a) Assume that the RBA decreases the cash rate from 3% to 2.75%. 
i) What profit opportunities initially exist in the one year bond market after 
the RBA announces a decrease in the cash rate? What happens to the 
market price of bonds in the one year bond market? Illustrate using a 
diagram showing the demand and supply of bonds (i.e. the demand 
and supply of loans)? Assume, for simplicity that the interest rate in 
the OCM and the interest rate in the 1 year bond market are initially 
equal. (1 mark) 
ii) What is the impact on the market price of the following bonds arising 
from the decrease in the cash rate? Assume the following: Principal = 
$10m; Coupon rate = 3%; Market interest rate = Cash Rate = 2.75%. (1 
mark)

The first policy reaction function represents this central bank’s behaviour 
during the 10 years prior to the Global Financial Crisis (GFC).1
 The second policy reaction function refers to the behaviour of the same central bank after the GFC (Assume that the central bank sets the interest rate at 0.25% lower at each level of inflation, believing that the risks of increased inflation are lower than prior to the GFC)

One of the interesting properties of transformer is changing of voltage
and current levels in ratio of turn ratio between primary and secondary
windings of transformer. Since the primary current is related to
secondary current by:Ip=Is/aHere “a” is turn ration of transformer. It
can be seen from the formula, primary winding current is directly
proportional to secondary winding current. It means transformer
secondary winding impedance is reflected back to primary along with
multiplication of turn ration factor. So, if the current through
secondary increases, it will be reflected back in primary, resulting in
consequent increase in primary winding current.This phenomenon can also
be described on basis of induced emf and flux linkage. When secondary of
transformer is short circuited, even small value of induced emf across
secondary, induces huge amount of current through secondary circuit.
This large value of current opposes the incoming flux through core of
transformer, resulting in weak flux linkage between primary and
secondary. As a result, nearly of the flux in contained within primary
resulting in huge amount of current through it.In the same way, voltage
across primary is directly related to secondary, as can be seen from the
relation:Vp=aVsSo, if the primary is Open circuited, no voltage would
induce in secondary, resulting in zero output voltage.It is common
practice of connecting neutral wire of electrical outlet directly to
ground. Hence, grounded objects near the device under test may be at
dangerous potential level when comparing with test device. By using
isolation transformer, this type of correspondence is eliminated, which
in case of short circuit would result shock hazard to be avoided.
